Joaquin Ortiz

I joined the Museum of Photographic Arts in 2009 and serve as the Digital Interpretation Manager. I coordinate the design, development, and evaluation of digital interactive exhibits and online exhibitions, as well as manage MOPA's educational outreach programs for senior citizens. My background is in digital media production, with an emphasis in documentary video. Before working at MOPA, I taught workshops and courses in video and digital media throughout San Diego County, and ran a small business producing media for non-profit clients. I have a Bachelor's degree in Film and Digital Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and am in my final year of the Master's degree program in Educational Technology at San Diego State University.
