Musematic
reCaptcha reVisited

Professor Luis Von Ahn at Carnegie Mellon still gets my vote for outstanding service to the field…

Paul Marty first mentioned reCaptcha here (on Museumatic) in May of 2007: http://musematic.net/?p=188 , although I admit I missed it at the time.

A colleague here at the CMA, Doug Hiwiller, brought the issue to my attention this week forwarding me an email with a link to the Christian Science Monitor  (which admittedly has a few more readers than Musematic) article entitled ”How to Turn Blather into books“: http://features.csmonitor.com/innovation/2009/02/19/recaptcha-how-to-turn-blather-into-books/

Once you’ve read the csmonitor article head on over to the reCaptcha site: http://recaptcha.net/

Wow…just wow.
