The Second Louvre Museum is an example of a SL museum that works very hard to create a setting that duplicates, at least partially, a RL museum or location, without necessarily duplicating the artifacts found in the RL museum. There were at least 3 other people perusing the halls along with myself, which I thought was gratifying. But what I found particularly interesting about it is that it didn't hold the Louvre classics in digital form, it had contemporary virtual artworks created by other Second Life users.
